See the document below for your marks for this submission of Task 3A. There is still some work to do here, people. In the light of this work, I have added a whole host of thoughts and ideas to the ‘Cars – cribsheet’ I posted a couple of weeks ago. Please read through all the entries and take the time to consider whether you have covered everything. You may not agree with me – if you don’t, leave your ideas and suggestions in the document with your name.
Your first full submission of Task 3A with additional audio/vocal tracks is due in next week – 1st March. Please ensure you have considered all aspects mentioned in the document below prior to submitting your work. To add notes and comments to the document open it here.
OK Gary Numan fans, here is the schedule we have agreed for progress on Task 3A leading up to the first submission deadline on 2nd February.
Week 1: Note entry – All drums and percussion, including tambourine, handclaps, open hi-hats, crash cymbals and fills (to be completed in time for your lesson on Thurs 12th Jan).
Week 2: Note entry – All synth parts (riffs, strings and pads) and bass (to be completed in time for your lesson on Thurs 19th Jan).
Week 3: Sound selection and Timbral editing of drums and percussion (to be completed in time for your lesson on Thurs 26th Jan). Don’t forget to separate sounds across different tracks.
Week 4: Synth and bass sound selection and timbral editing (to be completed in time for your lesson on Thurs 2nd Feb).
